Ending Homelessness Through FRIENDS OF THE MISSION
Over the years, Friends of the Mission has been committed to reducing homelessness in Yolo County by offering essential services, including day shelter, affordable housing, and transitional housing. Some of our key developments include:
Walter’s House (Woodland):
A major $1.8 million project with a $400,000 remodel in 2010, offering essential support to those in recovery.
Emergency Shelter (Woodland):
A $1.5 million investment providing critical shelter to the homeless population.
East Oak (Woodland):
The development of four 4-plexes valued at $980,000, creating supportive housing for local residents.
925 North Street (Woodland):
A subsidized housing initiative in partnership with Fourth & Hope, ensuring stable housing for its clients.
Permanent Supportive Housing Units (West Sacramento):
A $1.8 million project offering five permanent supportive housing units for homeless clients.
Our Mission & Vision
Friends of the Mission is a Non-Profit Organization that provides affordable housing for individuals, families and youth who are in need, but especially the homeless population in Yolo County. Affordable housing may include: emergency, transitional, supportive and permanent housing projects and programs.
